Mr. Smith was born in Seminole, Florida, and went on to obtain his B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History, from the University of Central Florida. During college, he was an avid player of intramural sports and a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.  Ryan attended law school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate and graduated Cum Laude. During law school, he was the Editor-in-Chief of the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law, and received publication of his honors thesis that focused on the epidemic of worldwide deprivations of procedural due process. Ryan, a member of the Florida Bar since 2015, has defended some of the world’s largest automobile insurers in both bodily injury and personal injury protection matters.
