Ms. Alvarez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida cum laude in 2009 with a double major in Criminology and Political Science. She then received her law degree from Florida International University in 2012. Ms. Alvarez is an AV® Preeminent™ Peer-Review Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Martindale-Hubbell. She is also member of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ms. Alvarez is an active member of the Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Young Lawyers Trial Section, as well as, a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.  Ms. Alvarez has experience in SIU claims, fraud,  personal injury protection and homeowners/first property cases.

 While attending law school, Ms. Alvarez interned as a Legislative Aide for a Miami-Dade County Commissioner. As a Legislative Aide she assisted in the creation of legislation, facilitated in land use and zoning matters, as well as other county matters presented   before   the   Board   of   Miami-Dade   County Commissioners.  She also  served  as  a  Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney’s Office in Miami-Dade County.

 Prior to joining Kirwan Spellacy & Danner, Ms. Alvarez was a Senior Associate at an insurance defense firm with a focus on Personal Injury Protection and Property Insurance Defense. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her French Bulldog, Louie. Ms. Alvarez speaks fluent Spanish.
